Biography: Joan Klagsbrun, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in the Boston area. She has served for decades on the faculty of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the Graduate Counseling Psychology Division, specializing in Holistic and Health Psychology. She has also been an adjunct faculty member at Andover Newton Theological School. <P> Dr. Klagsbrun has been teaching Focusing nationally and internationally to psychotherapists, healthcare providers and the public for over 33 years and recently has been conducting research on Focusing with women with breast cancer.. She is a Focusing Coordinator and a Board member of the Focusing Institute as well as the Institute for Body, Mind and Spirituality at Lesley University. She is the author of a book chapter, several journal articles, a CD and DVD, all on applications of Focusing and on "Clearing A Space."
